For the first time in three years Peter Harper has had a relatively good start to the new season.
Having set only second and third fastest times during a wet practice, Harper took the lead in both races over the weekend. Despite setting the fastest lap in each, the wins did not materialise. A back-marker problem in the first race and a self -induced spin in the second only netted the Yorkshireman a couple of second place finishes, Mark Charteris taking the spoils both times.
'Still, points on the board after two rounds is the best start for years' was the comment at the end of the meeting. Now for Croft in two weeks' time...
