FASTEST FRONT ENGINED CAR

At Shelsley Walsh hillclimb on the 16 August this year, Chris Ward made history. Driving the family  Mallock Mk18,  his time of  27.61 put  him and the car into the record books. The car, running a 2-litre Connaught BDG, became the fastest front engined, normally aspirated car to have ever climbed the hill.  Of other front engined cars, only Nic Mann's turbocharged, gas turbine assisted 4WD special has climbed quicker.
