Driving separate cars, father and son team Dick and James Slaughter had good results on the Bulldog Rally.
Dick started well in his 2-litre Escort-BDG, leading the rally with consistent stage times and finishing - not for the first time - in fourth place overall.

James, meanwhile, was doing his own thing in his Pinto engined Mk1. Having watched his Dad rallying for so many years, he now came into his own with a class tenth overall to put the family team on the leaders' table.
Dad is please that in only his second full year, James is doing so well. But not looking forward to the time when James gets his hands on the Mk2 !
