BRITISH SPRINT - CASTLE COMBE
29 March 2009
At the opening round of the British Sprint Championship, Terry Holmes got back in the winners circle. Driving his 3.5-litre Connaught Judd CV500 powered Lola T90/50, he took the outright win at Castle Combe. His 3sec margin - with a new course record - over Nick Algar's ex.Fleetwood Gould-NME in the run-off was a great result for the 'Chichester Chippy'. Holmes' co-driver, Graham Porrett, also finished in the points with sixth place. And as far as Connaught was concerned, that was not all. In his 3.2 Connaught Judd BV powered Ralt, Phil Lynch made the top ten, despite a plea for more power! A good result by all. Top three next round, lads?
