Orwell Championship

Weekend of April 26th saw the first round of the Orwell Supersports Championship. Last years Class D winner, Bob Brooks was ready for the new season early.
But without any practice, in the Lola 212, he took on all comers at Hockenhiem.
The fisrt race of the weekend , on Saturday, had him starting from 5th on the grid. With a race plan "to be 3rd" by the first corner! Worked well, when others tangled. The 30 min race ended after a race long battle with Steve Hodgetts B19. But it was good news for Connaught as he won Class D and 4thO/A.
Sunday was a repeat of Saturday's 30min battle, but on the last lap Steve came through, so Bob had to settle for a 2nd.
With all the results in, this left Bob in the best position. He now not only leads class D but the Championship O/A.
The team is now looking to build on this for 2008, and with the next round at Spa, things are looking good.
