Double Champion

Joe Courtney was crowned Irish Hillclimb Champion once again in 2016. His 2-litre Reynard was pushed to the limit by Mick Connolly (4.0 Gould Connaught) all season. The pair were always very close, but an early season off for Mick was enough to make the difference at the end.
In the same championship, Peter McKinley put that famous White Escort Mk 2 to good use, putting many a faster car to shame with a class winning performance, as the car is so used to doing!
