TWO CLASSIC RECORDS AT AUGUST SHELSLEY

Using Connaught power, Richard Jones and Stuart Ridge (pictured) both set new Historic racing records in their respective classes at Shelsley Walsh hillclimb's 110th Anniversary meeting on August 16th. Having broken the class record in the Bugatti OC Aldon Automotive Classic Championship class at Harewood earlier this month in his 1800cc Brabham-BDA BT29X, Jones, who already holds records at four British Championship hillclimbs, reset his own Shelsley mark in the pre-1972 class while Ridge, in his first full season in the ex.Rodney Eyles 2.8 Pilbeam-Hart MP53, lowered Andrew Henson's long-standing record for pre-1986 cars.
