ANOTHER GOLD CUP FOR EYLES

Driving his 2.8 Pilbeam-Hart/Connaught MP53, pre-1986 Historic racing class competitor Rodney Eyles won the Prescott Gold Cup for the second time at the Gloucestershire hillclmb last Sunday. The cup is awarded annually by the Bugatti Owners' Club for the best improvement over class target time throughout the Prescott season. This historic award was first presented to Englishman William Grover ('Williams') for his victory in the inaugural Monaco Grand Prix in 1929, driving a Bugatti 35B. Eyles first won the prestigious award in 2012, at the wheel of his 2.5 Ralt-Hart/Connaught RT3.
