Slaughter C3 2012 Champion

Dick Slaughter, one of the most experienced and respected rally drivers in Britain, took the Liberty Mutual Insurance rally team to championship success in the 2012 MSA British Historic Rally Championship.
Competing in the category for cars built between 1968 and 1974, Maidstone-based Slaughter and his co-driver Tim Sayer took their Ford Escort Mk1 to a championship class title in the hotly contested C3 division.
Contested over a range of high-profile special stage rallies, the British championship took the crews from the forest of mid-Wales to the closed public roads of Northern Ireland and Belgium and the forests of Scotland in the eight-event schedule. Slaughter made good use of his superb speed on forest rallies to lay the foundation of his success in his Liberty Mutual Insurance livered rally car.
