Phoenix Park in Ireland was a good weekend for connaught.

Simon McKinley driving his Lant powered by a 2.4 Warrior was able to set Fastest Lap and win outright in the heavily contested Libra race. His sidways style keeping the the F1 & F3000 cars at bay.

The previous weekend, he and Paul O' Connell, had shared the awards at the Hillclimb. Paul using his Delta Warrior 2.0lt set FTD on the Sunday, with Simon 2nd in his Warrior powered Escort. Having reversed Saturdays result.
