EYLES' CLASSIC WIN

Driving his Ralt-Hart/Connaught RT3/4, Rodney Eyles rounded off his 2011hillclimb season with a championship class title in the pre-86 Classic Racing Car division of the TTC Midland Hillclimb Championship. Another Connaught customer, Johnathen Varley in his March-BDA 772P, finished in second place. Eyles narrowly missed an outright Midland Championship title, finishing a single point behind winner Rob Stevens’ supercharged, bike-engined Force sportscar and losing second place on a tie-break to Mick Harriman’s Audi Quattro Sport.
