EYLES AGAIN

4 September 2011

Triple British sprint champion Rodney Eyles has had a great year in his Ralt-Har/Connaught, similar to the car in which he won his first title in 1986. With yet another win in the Midland Hillclimb Championship's pre-'86 Classic racing car class, he secured third place overall in the coveted Prescott Gold Cup, the season-long competition at the Bugatti Owners Club's hillclimb based on improvement over a class record target time. The Gold Cup was originally awarded to the winner of the first Monaco GP in 1929, William Grover-Williams, driving a Bugatti T35B.
